That route would followthe old Maybrook line. It was a sunny, hot day, and be advised that there was a pretty direct sun overhead for most of the trail (not a lot of shade), so bring sunscreen. My only critique is that the trail does not connect at the Brewster (east) end with any of the Westchester county trails.
